Lucas Grabeel sang and danced right into our hearts with his portrayal of Ryan Evans in the ever-popular High School Musical series.
Following his high-school graduation from Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Missouri (the same high school that Brad Pitt attended), he moved to Los Angeles and after only two months of being in L.A., landed his first commercial.
Not long after that, Lucas nabbed the role of Ethan Dalloway in Disney’s Halloweentown series and from there his star started to soar.
But that’s not all we love about Lucas. Check out some fun facts about him and his career:
– He was offered a guest role on an episode of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody as Trevor. But when the script called for him to kiss co-star Ashley Tisdale, the role went to Zac Efron, due to Lucas and Ashley’s brother-sister dynamic established in HSM.
– Lucas founded his own production company, 14341 Productions, in 2007 with friends Brent Geisler and Kelly King. They have produced projects such as the short films The Real Sonand Smoke Break as well as music videos “Get Your Ass On” and “You Got It.” They also produced a TV pilot called Regarding Beauregard which was Lucas‘ directorial debut. Their work debuted during the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.
– Currently stars in I Kissed A Vampire alongside Adrian Slade and pals Drew Seeley, Amy Paffrath, girlfriend Emily Morris and sister Autumn Grabeel. The rock musical is a look at the struggles of falling in love when you’re in the middle of becoming a vampire. The cast just completed filming several more episodes for a 2010 release.
