Yes, you do need an agent to get auditions. I’m sure there are actors out there who have booked pilots without having agents but that would be an exception not the norm. But hey, it’s the end of November, there is still time to get an agent before the next pilot season. November and December are usually rather slow months for the entertainment industry. Many agencies use this time to meet new actors. They want to have fresh talented actors for pilot season. I highly recommend this time to submit to agencies if you are seeking representation. Lorena

OK. But how does one go about getting an agent? Especially if one unfortunately lives in a “hamlet” with absolutely no movie industry.
Also I am only just starting out. So dont have work to send out.
Pls advice. Seems without an agent one gets no work but without experience, one also is of no interest to the agents!
