Actors should know that casting directors, producers and directors are human just like everyone else. They have good days and bad days. They want actors to do well when they come in to audition. Remember the actor was not called in to be judged or criticized. The actors was brought in with the hope that they will be great and ultimately land the role. They are on your side!
An audition workshop may help your daughter get some practice auditioning and build her confidence. Acting and auditioning can be two separate skills. Many workshops out there offer these classes on camera so the actors can see their work and progress. Not only can this type of workshop be great training but it may make your daughter feel like she’s not so bad after all, once she sees herself on camera.
Another important note- relaxation is key. It is very important that the time leading up to the audition be as calm as possible. Breathing properly can do wonders for actors.
