Many Stars on Studio films and Television have private coaches. They may be there to offer suggestions, assit the the actors in breaking down scripts, or just for the comfort of the actor. Some TV series have them on staff to help out the cast and the director. This is espcially true on sets who have children as series regulars.
Private coaching can be of great help to actors just starting out. The coach is able to work on the actor’s needs on a one on one basis and this can free up the actor to take more chances. Private coaching prior to an audition at times can make or break the audition.
My suggestion is, regardless of where you are in your career, find yourself a private coach. Shop around until you meet the right one. You want to have one in line that you’ve already worked with, who knows your acting, who can be there for you a the drop of a dime. Trust me- it is so comforting to know you have someone you can trust and is there for you. You never know what tomorrow may bring. Lorena
